Nominate ballot agent

Nominate the AEC or an authorised ballot agent to conduct the vote.

Prepare PABO application

Prepare the Form F34 Protected Action Ballot Order application.

File and serve the application

File the application with FWC and serve on the employer within 24 hours.

Attend FWC hearing

Attend the FWC directions or hearing and address any employer objections.

Run the ballot

Run the ballot with the nominated agent — 50%+ turnout and 50%+ yes for a valid authorisation.

Issue notice of action

Issue 3 working days written notice of the proposed industrial action to the employer.
