Title correction lodgement checklist

The checklist
Identify the correction type
Identify whether the correction is error, name change, death, trust, or partitioning.
Obtain title search
Obtain a current title search identifying the registered details.
Gather evidence
Gather supporting evidence — marriage certificate, death certificate, deed poll, or trust deed.
Identify the correct form
Select the right form — RPA Form 16NC for name change, Form 03D for death, transmission application, etc.
Complete client authority
Complete client authorisation form for electronic signing.
Verify identity
Complete VOI per NSW LRS Conveyancing Rules.
Prepare statutory declaration
Prepare statutory declarations for facts not supported by public record.
Draft the lodgement form
Draft the correction form in PEXA or paper with supporting references.
Calculate lodgement fee
Calculate the NSW LRS lodgement fee for the correction type.
Lodge with NSW LRS
Lodge electronically via PEXA or paper at NSW LRS.
Respond to requisitions
Respond to any requisitions from the Registrar General.
Confirm registration
Confirm registration by running a post-lodgement title search.
