Quillio + DocuSign

AI review before the document goes out for signature.

DocuSign is the default eSignature tool for many AU firms. Quillio sits upstream — review, redlines, and final checks before the envelope is sent. A direct integration is on the roadmap.

In short

Quillio is building a direct integration with DocuSign — here is what it will do when available, and what you can do today. Status: coming soon. Today, Quillio helps most as a pre-signing review step: run the document through Quillio for a final risk and clarity check, make edits, then send via DocuSign. The direct integration will add a Quillio review button directly inside the DocuSign pre-send step and pull executed envelopes back into Quillio for post-signing analysis.

What it does

Quillio inside DocuSign

The Quillio + DocuSign workflow is less about sending-to-sign (DocuSign already does that well) and more about what happens before and after. Before sending, Quillio reviews the document for risk, redlines, and clarity. After signing, Quillio can review the executed envelope alongside the matter — summarising the final version, flagging last-minute changes, and saving the output to the matter file. The direct integration will automate both halves.

Capabilities

What you can do

Pre-signing risk review

Before sending to DocuSign, run the document through Quillio for a risk and clarity check. Catch issues before signatures are locked in.

Redline review

Compare two versions of a document — for example, the draft you sent and the redlined version returned — and get a plain-English summary of the changes.

Post-signing summary

Take the executed envelope back from DocuSign into Quillio for a summary, key obligations, and critical dates — saved to the matter.

Signing package drafting

Draft cover letters, execution instructions, and client explanations that accompany a DocuSign envelope.

Pre-send button (planned)

The direct integration will add a Quillio Review button inside the DocuSign pre-send step so review happens without leaving DocuSign.

Data flow and security

Data flow

Today, documents are uploaded to Quillio for review before or after DocuSign signing. Processing happens on Quillio's Australian-hosted infrastructure. When the direct integration ships, documents will flow between DocuSign and Quillio over authenticated API calls, with reviews returning to DocuSign (pre-send) or the matter (post-signing).

Security

DocuSign Inc holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and eIDAS certification. Quillio holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 on Australian-hosted infrastructure. The planned integration will use OAuth 2.0 and TLS for data in transit.

Who uses it: Australian firms using DocuSign for client, counterparty, or internal signing — across commercial, property, employment, and corporate practice. Useful for solo practitioners through to large firms.
Questions

DocuSign integration FAQs

Is the DocuSign integration live today?

No — it is on the roadmap. You can still get most of the value today by running Quillio as a pre-signing or post-signing review step around DocuSign.

Does Quillio replace DocuSign?

No. DocuSign handles eSignatures well and Quillio does not compete with that. Quillio's role is the review, redlining, and summarisation steps that sit either side of the signing event.

What does "pre-signing review" actually check?

Unusual or missing clauses, inconsistent party references, open drafting notes, broken cross-references, risky commitments, and plain-language clarity. You get a risk summary back in under 2 minutes.

Can Quillio summarise the final executed envelope?

Yes. Upload the executed PDF back into Quillio (today manually; automatic once the integration ships) for a summary, key obligations, and critical dates saved to the matter.

Where is document data processed?

On Quillio's Australian-hosted infrastructure. AI processing stays on Australian soil.

Will the integration cost extra?

No. When it ships, it will be included in standard Quillio per-user pricing.
