Contract and settlement review around your PEXA workflow.
PEXA handles electronic settlement; Quillio handles the legal review around it — contract of sale, Section 32, transfer documents, and post-settlement summaries. A direct integration is on the roadmap.
Quillio is building a direct integration with PEXA — here is what it will do when available, and what you can do today. Status: coming soon. Today, conveyancers and property lawyers using PEXA can still use Quillio for the legal review steps around settlement: contract of sale review, Section 32 checks, transfer document review, and post-settlement summaries. The integration will tighten the handoff between PEXA workspace data and Quillio so matter context flows automatically.
Quillio inside PEXA
PEXA is the electronic lodgement and settlement network — it is not a practice management system or an AI tool, and Quillio does not replace any part of what PEXA does. Quillio sits alongside: reviewing the contract of sale before signing, checking the Section 32 / vendor statement, flagging unusual transfer document conditions, and summarising the settlement pack for the client after lodgement. The direct integration will read PEXA workspace metadata (parties, property, settlement date) so matter context carries across without re-keying.
What you can do
Contract of sale review before settlement
Review the contract of sale for unusual special conditions, missing disclosures, and risk points before the settlement workspace is created in PEXA.
Section 32 / vendor statement review (VIC)
Check Victorian Section 32 statements for completeness and risk before the PEXA workspace progresses.
Transfer and mortgage document review
Review the transfer and mortgage documents that attach to the PEXA workspace before they are locked in for settlement.
Post-settlement client summary
After settlement, produce a plain-English summary of what settled, what the client owns now, and what obligations apply — saved to the matter.
Workspace context (planned)
Once the direct integration ships, Quillio will read the PEXA workspace metadata (parties, property, settlement date, lodgement status) to apply correct matter context automatically.

Data flow and security
Data flow
Today, conveyancing documents are uploaded to Quillio manually before or after a PEXA workspace is created. Processing happens on Quillio's Australian-hosted infrastructure. When the direct integration ships, PEXA workspace metadata will flow to Quillio over an authenticated connection so matter context is picked up automatically. Document data continues to be processed in Australia.
Security
PEXA Ltd operates under tight Australian regulatory oversight and holds strong enterprise security certifications. Quillio holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 on Australian-hosted infrastructure. The planned integration will use authenticated API access and TLS for data in transit. Quillio does not attempt to lodge or settle — that remains entirely within PEXA.
PEXA integration FAQs
Does Quillio replace PEXA?
No. PEXA is the electronic lodgement and settlement network — Quillio does not do any part of that. Quillio's role is the legal review around settlement: contracts, Section 32s, transfer documents, and client-facing summaries.
Is the PEXA integration live today?
No — it is on the roadmap. You can still use Quillio today for pre-settlement document review by uploading contracts and transfer documents manually.
Does Quillio understand state-specific property law?
Yes. Quillio handles VIC Section 32 requirements, NSW Contract for Sale of Land, QLD REIQ contracts, and the other state-specific frameworks.
How long does a contract or Section 32 review take?
A typical review comes back in under 2 minutes. The manual upload step adds about a minute today.
Where is document data processed?
On Quillio's Australian-hosted infrastructure. Settlement document data stays on Australian soil.
Will the direct integration change lodgement or settlement steps in PEXA?
No. The integration is read-only on the PEXA side — it picks up workspace metadata so Quillio can apply matter context. Lodgement and settlement remain entirely inside PEXA.
Will it cost extra?
No. When it ships, the PEXA integration will be included in standard Quillio per-user pricing.
