Data flow
Document data flows from Smokeball to Quillio over an authenticated, encrypted connection. Quillio reads the documents in your matter file, processes them on Quillio's Australian-hosted infrastructure, and writes the AI output back to the matter as a new document or note. No client data is stored outside your Smokeball matter or Quillio's AU infrastructure.
Security
Both Smokeball and Quillio hold SOC 2 Type II certifications. Quillio additionally holds ISO 27001 and runs entirely on Australian-hosted infrastructure. The integration uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication and TLS for all data in transit. Your Smokeball matter data is processed within Quillio's Australian environment and stays on Australian soil.

No. Your data stays in Smokeball. Quillio reads documents from your Smokeball matter file, processes them, and writes the output back to the matter. There is no data migration — the integration works with your existing Smokeball setup.

You choose. During setup, you can grant Quillio access to all Smokeball matters or a specific subset (for example, a particular practice group or partner's matters). Access can be changed at any time.
Where is the matter data processed?
On Quillio's Australian-hosted infrastructure. Your Smokeball matter data leaves Smokeball over an encrypted connection, is processed in Quillio's AU environment, and the AI output is written back to the matter. Data does not leave Australian soil.
Is there an additional cost for the Smokeball integration?
