Built in Australia for Australian lawyers.
Quillio exists because the best legal AI tools were built somewhere else, for someone else. We thought Australian and New Zealand lawyers deserved a tool built specifically for how they work.
Quillio is an AI legal assistant built in Australia for Australian and New Zealand lawyers. Founded by Samuel Junghenn, Quillio is trained weekly on AU/NZ legislation and case law, runs on Australian infrastructure with full data sovereignty, and is sold per user with transparent pricing — built for the lawyers most legal AI tools treat as an afterthought.
Why Quillio exists
When we started looking at AI legal tools for Australian firms, the gap was obvious. The big-name platforms — Harvey, CoCounsel, Legora — were built for the US, the UK, and Europe. They were powerful tools, but they did not understand Australian law, did not integrate with Australian practice management systems, and were sold through enterprise procurement processes that locked out the firms that needed them most: solo practitioners, mid-size commercial firms, and the in-house teams quietly running corporate Australia.
So we built Quillio. Trained weekly on AU and NZ legislation and case law. Hosted entirely on Australian infrastructure. Integrated with the practice management systems Australian firms actually use. Sold per user with transparent pricing and a free trial that requires no credit card. Built around the duty of competence — every research result includes a citation back to the underlying authority so lawyers can verify before relying on it.
The promise is simple: Australian and New Zealand lawyers should have access to AI tools that were built for them — not adapted from somewhere else. Quillio is that tool.
Samuel Junghenn
Samuel Junghenn is the founder and CEO of Quillio. After watching Australian law firms struggle with AI tools designed for foreign jurisdictions and enterprise procurement processes, Samuel set out to build something better. Quillio is the result — a purpose-built AU/NZ legal AI platform that serves the firms most legal AI vendors ignore.
Samuel\'s focus is the long-term health of the Australian legal profession in an AI era — building tools that augment legal judgment without replacing it, and that respect the duty of competence and confidentiality lawyers owe their clients. He works with AU state law societies, judicial bodies, and individual firms to ensure Quillio meets the practical needs of practising lawyers.
Our values
Built for AU/NZ first
We are not a global tool with an AU subsidiary. Australia and New Zealand are the centre of how Quillio is built, not a market we expanded into.
Citations on every claim
Every research output includes a source citation. Lawyers should be able to verify before relying on it. Hallucination is not acceptable in legal practice.
Transparent pricing
The price is on the website. The free trial is no credit card. The contract is per user per month with no minimum. We do not believe in procurement gauntlets.
Australian data sovereignty
Client data stays in Australia. We host on Australian-owned infrastructure under Australian law. This is not a feature; it is a foundational commitment.
Augment, never replace
Quillio supports legal judgment; it does not substitute for it. Every output is a starting point for the lawyer\'s professional review — never the final word.
Solo practitioners are first-class
We are not building for AmLaw 200. We are building for the sole practitioner in regional Tasmania and the family lawyer in suburban Melbourne — and the mid-size firms in between.
Trusted by AU and NZ legal professionals
Quillio is used by Australian and New Zealand law firms across every practice area — family, criminal, employment, commercial, property, litigation, immigration, wills and estates, and more. Our customer base spans solo practitioners, mid-size commercial firms, in-house corporate legal teams, and barristers in independent practice. We are based in Australia, our team is in Australia, and our product is built around Australian and New Zealand legal practice.
Built for you. Try it free.
