What this tool does
Many AI document tools ask you to hand over sensitive material to an overseas vendor with vague data retention terms. This test runs on AU-hosted infrastructure, returns a clear summary and clause breakdown, and deletes the document after the session — so you can evaluate the capability on non-sensitive sample files without compromising anyone's obligations.
How to use it
- Upload a non-confidential sample document (PDF or DOCX, up to 10 MB)
- Select the document type: contract, brief, affidavit, policy, or "other"
- Review the AI-generated executive summary and clause list
- Check the risk flags panel for clauses the model considers unusual or adverse
- Download the summary or discard — the original file is deleted within 24 hours

Is my document stored anywhere?
Files are processed in an AU-hosted environment and automatically deleted within 24 hours. Nothing is retained for training, and nothing leaves Australian jurisdiction during processing.
Can I upload a real client document?
We strongly recommend you do not. This is a free evaluation sandbox and should only be used with sample or non-confidential documents. For live matters, use the full Quillio platform where you have a signed agreement and configurable retention.
What file types and sizes are supported?
PDF and DOCX files up to 10 MB. The full Quillio platform supports larger files and additional formats including EML, MSG, and image-only PDFs with OCR.
Does this work for handwritten documents?
The demo tool handles digital text well. Handwritten material requires the full platform's OCR workflow, which is configured to handle court forms, file notes, and annotated documents.
Is the clause extraction reliable enough to skip manual review?
No AI document tool — including ours — replaces manual review for contracts that bind your client. The value is in first-pass speed: the AI narrows where your attention needs to go, it does not replace your judgement.
What happens with the risk flags?
Flags highlight clauses that deviate from common patterns for the document type — for example, an unusual indemnity or a termination clause missing a notice period. You still need to apply your own legal analysis to decide whether each flag matters for this client.
Does this comply with Australian legal professional privilege?
Processing stays within Australian jurisdiction and is not used for training. Privilege is maintained, but as always, the practitioner is responsible for ensuring client consent and conflicts processes are followed before uploading anything client-related.
