How to import from OneDrive to Quillio
To import from OneDrive, connect OneDrive once from "Firm settings" → "Integrations", then on any matter click "Import" and choose the OneDrive folder. Quillio supports both personal OneDrive and OneDrive for Business (Microsoft 365), including shared folders. Ongoing sync is optional.
OneDrive for Business
For OneDrive for Business, the firm administrator authorises via Microsoft OAuth. This covers both personal drive and shared libraries. Users can then import from their own drive or from any shared library they have access to.
SharePoint relationship
OneDrive for Business is backed by SharePoint. Files stored in a SharePoint team site show up in OneDrive under "Shared libraries". I import from both the same way.
Offline files
Files marked as "Online only" in OneDrive need to be downloaded before import — I prompt for this if I cannot read the file directly.
Step-by-step
- Connect OneDrive. Firm settings → Integrations → OneDrive. Authorise via Microsoft OAuth.
- Open the matter. Or create a new matter.
- Click "Import from OneDrive". Select the folder(s) to import.
- Confirm. Files pull in and OCR runs automatically.
Common issues
- OneDrive for Business requires Microsoft 365 admin authorisation — personal OneDrive connects instantly
- Files marked "Online only" may need to be downloaded before import
- Permissions from SharePoint flow through — a user cannot import what they cannot see
